Snowy Chalet Part Deux
Aftermath at the Schola manecantory (French “where the music begins”) which houses our chapel of St. Joseph of the Holy Family in Wrightwood, CA, of a weekend winter storm that began Feb. 24, 2023, including blizzard warnings. Even though this photo was taken one week after the storm, looking out of the porch onto the backyard, the 8 inches that fell during the first snow blast now packed down to a few feet.

Schola Americana Ensemble Reactivated
The teen and young adult group of The Schola Cantorum of the Pacific, Schola Americana, has been revived as a youth and young adult group at Assumption Parish in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. The ensemble which from 1991 to 2009, led contemporary liturgical music in schools and parishes in the L.A. area, and staged concerts of popular, light jazz, and folk music at such venues at Huntington Library in San Marino, and MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, is poised to resume similar programs. This website will announce its activities of the 2018-19 school year.
